Ziggler just shows up with no build, no story... That's weak. There is so much that could be done with him too.

And yeah the Shane Miz feud wrecked both of them IMO. It's not getting any better and it was and is a bad feud.

The 24/7 belt was exciting for a minute there. But now I believe it will just be a dumb prop to involve otherwise aimless guys on the card. This is why you need divisions. You need stories and angles that drive the shows. This creates the tiers that make things interesting. Every single title aside from the World and Universal have been virtually rendered irrelevant.

I knoe AEW shouldn't repeat what TNA has done for so long and bring in every ex-wwe guy ever with an immediate giant push. But with this amazing moxley interview I just can't help but to imagine how awesome the revival, harper, gallows and anderson, breeze, sasha AND imho shelton frikkin benjamin (when was he last seen?) could be in aew.

Also never forget that vince interviewed brian pillman's widow shortly after his death and asked her on air how she will provide for her children.

WWE won’t change until Vince is gone because it’s largely inoffensive to children. Children bring their parents to shows. Children ask their parents to buy merch. Children probably don’t care about the week to week story. That’s my theory at least.

I don't think much will change without Vince. Yeah, Hunter takes over but he presides over a billion dollar publicly traded company with shareholders and sponsors to deal with in ways that didn't exist in the 1990's. I don't think a change in who is the head of it all will change a lot of that.

Yeah, NXT is great but NXT isn't the company. It's just a subsidiary of it and doesn't have to worry about being the sponsor-friendly show to please everyone in the upper realms of the company.

I think what makes me the most annoyed with WWE is the fact that they have so much talent, so much TV time, that it feels like they could run 3-4 different promotions at times. The buffet of wrestling, so-to-speak, could all be provided by WWE and then AEW would look less interesting to hardcore wrestling fans.

Do kids really buy Lesnar merch? I honestly don't know who does...

But I agree that Vince guides the product in that direction. I think Vince runs the business in such an old school way that he thinks the people don't know what they want so he will forcefeed them to make them believe it's what they want. But when it's just kids driving the sales it's all irrelevant anyway. Because lets face it, kids don't know enough to care.

The fact that they keep having the same pointless matches over and over is sad. There is so much that can be done with all that they have, yet we usually see the same crap week after week.

And now that RAW and SDL aren't even really separate anymore, it all runs together even more now.

And then there's things like this that are right there and they don't do it... Why? haha it's so easy.

Finn and the Club would be fantastic as a heel stable right now.

Finn wouldn’t be in a heel faction because I think he moves too much kids merch and also he’s the easiest crowd pop on the roster that isn’t in the main event.

I'm curious in seeing what the "wins and losses" aspect means in the long run and if that's something they're going to focus on
It depends on who they get. Ambrose is a perfect get because of a few factors. Age, has not reached full potential, is a star. I mean regardless of his creative he was a legit top 5 wwe guy...and he chose aew over them. That's a big statement. Getting guys off the scrap or guys who didnt pan out in wwe..avoid avoid or be super cautious.

Hm, the main problem Moxley had with Vince was that Vince didn't let talent create their own angles or promos, while Trips let's his NXT guys take the reign for the most part.

Bur you're right about the shareholders, that could potentially turn Trips into a control freak as well but it's definitely possible that WWE is drowning at least to a degree when Trips 'takes over' and he really changes 'the game' (nice puns eh?)

I can’t believe he’s only 32. Not that I thought he was in his 40s or anything. I guess sometimes I forget I’m 31 and I tend to think people on tv are way older than me

I dunno, I feel like dbry probably moved a lot of merch before turning.

I’d leave Finn in full time Demon mode...

  23. bigmike

Yeah? Finn is a top five merch seller in the company. If you don’t think a dude with a cool song, looks like a zombie demon with cool lighting and color scheme and a headdress made of belts isn’t something kids would find cool then idk. Kind of the ultimate warrior effect mixed with early undertaker mashed together.

  24. MidDave

Eww no thanks. I want the demon to be what gets him wins until it’s built up well enough where you can run a story questioning whether he can win without the demon. I like an “overcoming your own demons” idea at some point but that’s just me.
