I think I read that during a podcast with Lillian Garcia, Lana and Rusev told her that they were incredibly disliked by E!'s test audiences or something (specifically Lana), which is hilarious to me, because some of the random moments with Rusev were the best thing about the show. I haven't watched it in like, two seasons, though

 

They keep playing up Lana as this monster heel, that's probably why

Yeah Lana wasn’t great. But Rusev was gold. My wife couldn’t stand Lana anymore after total divas. Tyson Kidd was another great part of the show until his injury

Tony Khan was listing his favorite wrestlers of all time on Jerichos pod and in that list was Cody & Golddust in their tag team angle

 

All-time might be a little strong, but I remember that run being very good. They put on a legit classic against the Shield at whatever PPV it was.

 

Yeah I didn't mean to sound like I was questioning if they were good, it was just an interesting inclusion and I could totally see them snatching up Golddust for some real easy and great story lines with Cody.
