I don't think those 2 things are mutually exclusive with a weekly show. They don't need to waste as much time with filler nonsense as WWE does, their core audience is going to be tuning in to see actual matches.

I think the reason for that is the overall scale of WWE. It's massive on so many fronts from toys to video games to the events.

Even with big backers... It's gotta be tough

 

Have AJ win the title back. Have Finn win the Rumble and challenge AJ. Then make a note for me to go buy a new pair of pants.

This is such a terrible take

Folks who I would actually be excited to see in AEW from WWE that I think would actually make a legit impression (and who I could realistically see leaving WWE):

- The Revival
- Cesaro

I'm not really that interested in a mass exodus of talent moving from WWE to AEW. Guys like Tye Dillinger and Hideo Itami jump to mind as dudes who would probably be better served in AEW, but I also can't see myself getting amped up about them in AEW. Nor do I think either of those two guys would suddenly shoot to superstardom because of AEW.

 

They’ll need those guys to draw casual fans. But those guys don’t have to be the only draw.

But really, more than anything they need an easily watchable way to view the product.

Do they need the kids to watch? Their goals to start should be just to outpace TNA at its best. You work up to the casual audience.

 

WWEs biggest demographic is like the 50+ demographic. Idk how to feel about that translating to AEW interest.

I feel like AEW is the only real chance I have of getting Kings of Wrestling back again and there is nothing in wrestling I want more than that.
