With what they had to do on a quick rewrite, that was good. Far smarter than having Johnny go over.

 

Ciampa should just sit in the middle of the ring for 20 minutes

 

PPV started at 7. NXT is usually 2.5hrs long, so, this was right on par. If I remember correctly, Takeover: NO had the normal matches end about 10:30 (so, 2.5hrs), and the unsanctioned match started after a normal PPV ends

 

Well then I guess I'll never know when it starts and when it ends, idk what I would do without henry

 

And now we sit through Summerslam tomorrow

Black injury really backed then into a corner. Did their best with it, but the lead up to the match made it really awkward. Could never fully get behind Gargano and that hurt the match

Guess now Johnny "rehabs" and find the old Johnny Wrestling?

 

So like, they're gonna write off gargano and black off for awhile? Nxt will definitely be interesting for the next few weeks

 

I hope they cool down Johnny for one cycle and have Dream or someone else go for the title at Survivor Series.

 

Gotta assume Black is healthy and ready for War Games. Johnny Gargano comes back at Takeover Phoenix for whatever and the true blow-off is rightfully at Takeover: Brooklyn V in 7 months (which is weird....)

The Black injury screwed this, because Gargano v Ciampa War games would have been legit 6* stuff.

I kinda hope this is the end of Gargano vs Ciampa, at least until the main roster though. The story of the last several months has been Gargano being so consumed by his hatred of Ciampa that is cost him everything. Nothing would signify the fact that he's rediscovered Johnny Wrestling during his rehab than if he stops caring about Ciampa.
