That ladder match might be my favorite match for a while. I just loved it and the guys in it so much. Maybe I’ll finally get around to watching Dudley’s/Hardy’s/Edge and Christian now.

 

I sincerely hope we get Asuka/Charlotte II sometime in the near-distant future. Aside from her major NXT bouts against Bayley, Nikki Cross, and Ember Moon, we never really got to see Asuka in there against legit competitors. And certainly not in there with anyone who could work on her level. Sky is the limit for Charlotte, talent-wise, and a feud with Asuka will only force her to get better (which is super rare to find once you get to the main roster). And Asuka was clearly able to work at a slightly faster rate than she has during 99% of her main roster debut because of Charlotte.

 

Food, too.

 

With all the NXT talent they could bring up tonight, I wouldn’t mind a full on invasion/nexus type thing that was teased in the Women’s BR last night. Sanity/AOP/Iconic Duo, you could go full on after the entire roster, male, female, and tags.

Heard that was a problem at the recent US NJPW show too. Only two concession stands running for 2.5-3K and ran out of ice.

Aside from Ciampa/Gargano, the match I had highest hopes for this weekend was AJ/Nakamura. It wasn’t a bad match by any means, but it wasn’t GOOD either. It was just...there. Yeah, the last minute it picked up and the turn at the end was great, but the match was very lackluster. It did feel like just a smackdown match, if even that. Hopefully it’ll be better next time

if you want to talk about matches that let me down (and it not being the fault of the performers at all)... I think the Daniel match was the biggest disappointment for me.

Everything from the intro, of making the "Yes chant" seem more over than Daniel....having Daniel have some sort of lame "Cyber yes moment" thing...to having Daniel do a semi-stretcher job....it really took a lot out of the match. THIS was the match I was expecting the kitchen sink for. Shane's typical nonsense PLUS Owens/Zayn/Bryans wrestling skills... PLUS there was an actual good storyline attached to this....AND Bryan's first match in 3 years...

and yet it ends up being a 7/10 affair. I personally got what i was looking for from Nak/AJ, but i was expecting a LOT more from that match. I'm a big AJ fan but indifferent about Nak. All 4 guys in the Daniel match, to me, are top 5/10 personalities in the company.

But the AGENT for the match let them down terribly. MAybe it was Shane's injury, and them being worried about Daniel, but whatever the excuse was, i think the way the match was written out.... lame. And I dont like Bryan beeing booked as super Bryan either. It's NOT what fans like about the guy.
