people are taking the AJ/Nak criticism way too personally/seriously. AJ has been the highlight of the company for two years, he could have 20 more "meh" matches before i felt differently about that. off nights happen, chemistry gets weird for a thousand reasons, agents are involved, AJ had been nursing an injury. there's a million reasons last night could have been lackluster, and that's okay

I love AJ for the fact he was able to actually have a tense, dare I say great match with the doofus Brock Lesnar

So they needed more false finishes and 360 splashes i don't understand. Did the match need another 10 minutes? Two of the greatest workers in the world facing for the wwe title at wrestlemania and the crowd didn't give a shit from the very beginning.

I think it was a missed opportunity. Too slow for its length, too fast for the finish. Give it another ten minutes ramping up the pace and it would be really good. What I saw, I liked but yeah definitely a disappointing match.

I was expecting match of the year and I got a match that could’ve been on Smackdown. That’s why I hated it.

 

Yeah they do because both secondary titles are basically meaningless on the show and they need a spark

also no one said it needed flips, but if there's no flash there needs to be a story. what was the story? "these guys had a good match somewhere else two years ago"?

 

You're supposed to care because the champion is aj styles... The best wrestler in the world. Taking on nakamura, this charismatic superstar from Japan, facing off the biggest title in the world on the biggest stage of the year.

The wwe thought that's what wrestling fans want.. But I guess the old addage that face v face doesn't work is true

 

Why don't you tell that to the US title match?

Not only is this argument terrible, but it's actually really belittling to Rollins, Balor, Miz, Charlotte, and Asuka, who went out there and put on legitimately great matches early in the card

domo, the wrestling was subpar. it's not the crowd's job to will wrestlers in to having a great match, it's their job to put on a match that makes fans care. this is getting crazy. you literally just described the match on paper, which everyone was hyped for. they fell short of it.

 

Don't think triple threat was any better or worse wrestling wise than aj nak other than the fact it went first and that it was triple threat.

And us title match features 3 out of 4 guys no one cares about

 

I would say since WM31 the best matches have been earlier on the cards almost exclusively.

Length is a HUGE factor in this.

 

But it wasn't subpar I totally disagree. Thought the match told a great story... Thought they beat the crap out of eachother...and that when the fans aren't chanting for aj styles and nak.. it validates Vince.

At least the crowd cared about reigns/lesnar huh
