If Nese had a personality, he'd be a lot more successful. He has a great move set and a look Vince would normally love (not that Vince is in charge any more, but you get what I mean), but has zero going on outside of that.

 

It's his voice that turns me off. It doesn't suit him. He's the voice of a child, the moveset of a face and the mannerisms of a heel. None of them mesh well. Great match with Gulak. His selling of the lariat at the end was top notch, dude went and stayed limp.

 

The voice thing is true. It wouldn't be half as bad if he just spoke with a little confidence.

Do the 205 guys who went straight from the CWC to the main roster get to use the PC? I feel like a fair few could still do with some fine tuning and promo training to help them a long the way.

 

I feel like Tony Nese is just like Apollo Crews. Great physique/look, incredibly athletic and talented in the ring. Zero personality or character development. If they turned Nese face, he'd be exactly Crews with a little less smiling.

Thing is, Apollo is big enough that his skillset looks impressive relative to other guys his size. And the Titus Worldwide stuff will, hopefully, show he's got a little more.

This is sort of the problem. Calling yourself the premiere athlete when you're like, Elias' size can work. When you're <205lbs and you're less dynamic in the ring than a half dozen other guys in the division, it seems foolish.

Its basically the Lance Storm gimmick. Yes, you look like a wrestler, and I believe it...but you work for a wrestling company, so that's a given. All he's got left after that is abs

i guess it really is just one extra hour, but still too much

 

I think I preferred the idea of alternating months for PPV's a lot more. It gave time for stories to flesh out.
