I don’t. I just can’t stand the emphasis a fair few people put on how important his star ratings are.

 

But how is that HIS fault?!?

 

For myself anyway, his comments regarding the Elgin situation really rubbed me the wrong way. I don’t hate him but that made me not care about his stuff.

 

As close as its come to being watchable in months (mostly because KO and Sasha took some brutal bumps and they let the fatal 4-ways go 20+), but it still was 50% crap.

 

Because of the pedestal other people put him on.

 

anndddd the other reasons that this comment has received responses in regards to. he's not an angel. perfectly fine for folks to allow his views on things more indicative of character than wrestling to matter more than... his views on wrestling.

 

The guy is defending the WNBA to people as well. Idk, you guys are gonna rip me but I just think he didn't explain his answer well.

He does have shitty comments about things, I won't deny that, thank god he isn't running for office, i don't know. He's a wrestling nerd.

Idk he's just a wrestling nerd that worked himself into a career about wrestling "news". For the longest time he was the go to for shit. He's always seemed like a guy that has a decent mind for the business

 

Because it's a ridiculous comparison. Wrestling is not basketball. It's entertainment, not sport. Women aren't left out of NJPW because they can't compete with the men. Women are left out of NJPW because the company chooses not to use them. The fact that he feels the need to defend that (and all his other shitty opinions) is why I have a problem with him.

 

Okay, but he is saying Japan has Stardom, where the top women get to shine on their own and has a great following. WWE/America doesn't have that equivalent.

 

Just because you disagree with someone doesn't mean you have to say fuck them.

Shimmer is a thing. Women's wrestling is more popular in Japan, which is great, but he's acting like that's the "right" way to do it (because NJPW > WWE, guys). NJPW could put those women on a much bigger stage and choose not to.

 

That's true, but still, they do have a place that is turning out major stars and is very possibly a better opportunity for them, no?
