just watched smackdown. im glad i did, thought it was actually a pretty decent show. nothing you have to go out of your way to watch, but a totally watchable wrestling show. I liked the small things they did differently. Contract signing backstage, old school crockett style... i liked the big cass interview on the stage instead of the ring... and i liked asuka match/charlotte match

 

oh and for the first time ever, i care about Sin Cara? I think this is a PERFECT, actually decently thought out first program for Almas

 

Thing I liked the most was the show running through the womens division. Aiden + Lana explained because Rusev was preparing for his later match...multiple womens matches and the mixed tag. The first 70-80mins of the show was mostly about the women, save for the throwaway singles match between Harper/Anderson (which is how the women are usually used).

Compared to how RAW used their women (awkward injury works, the nonsense tag-in by Bayley)...its night and day.

 

definitely. Just like that, the womens smackdown division is back to doing legit/logical multi feuds, and raw is back to crap on a stick everywhere. Now im' not saying the womens division on smackdown is at an A+ level like it was two years ago, but it's not crap on a stick.

It's like the tag division on smackdown vs raw. Not saying smackdown is A+ stuff, but at least there's some legit levels of competition. BB, New Day, usos are all legit tag threats...and i like that they're giving Good brothers a chance here.

 

Gonna be using the NJPW thread tonight for the show. So much going on with this card.
