i have preemptively made up my mind to get dinner at taco bell tonight and I want to thank you all for helping me do so
I could make you some chili and cornbread that would blow your mind. Down here, it's just used in so many amazing dishes. And it's not just a homogenous fluffy square like some perfect fake Walmart white bread or something. look at this amazing shit:
Yeah, that looks good. 90% of the population doesn’t picture that when they hear “cornbread” but, I’d eat the fuck out of that.
Yeah I know! And I know exactly what they're actually thinking of instead too haha. I'm trying to spread awareness for what it can be. The other day I had some ridic pulled brisket and spicy gravy over chunky cornbread with guacamole. I guess you mostly get this stuff in Texas and Mexico only though. I thought maybe Cali would follow suit too idk. We're so spoiled for awesome food down here.
It’s entirely possible we have it in SoCal, especially San Diego, I’ve just never looked for it. Next time I go to a Mexican place I’ll keep my eyes out
Big fan of the breakfast crunchwrap, and breakfast quesadilla. Need to add creamy jalapeno to the quesadilla though, don't come automatically. I loved the Naked Taco, and already miss it
the crunchwrap is definitely the star of their breakfast. their hashbrowns are pretty weak and could be better. i haven't tried the quesadilla yet but i would like to.
The AM Crunchwrap with either steak or bacon is great. Also like the grande scrambler a decent amount. The egg taco with the flatbread wrap was also pretty good. In all, their breakfast isn’t bad.
Breakfast crunchwraps are amazing. If it was still around, the Waffle Taco would win this poll. That thing was absolutely awful.
