By no means a 1:1 scenario because nothing ever really is, but I can’t help that this reminds me so much of the Pinegrove situation and how things were supposedly worse than Evan made it sound when he did this same thing
i think there's always power in discussing these types of situations and calling people out for bad behaviors, but i can't help but also strongly feel that there's usually some type of more fitting inner circle to have those talks within in hopes of bringing about a more controlled accountability and closure. the second social media gets involved it always feels like some point or another gets diluted. i don't envy anybody who has to try and find that line publicly, seems very painful
Not much to add beyond I agree with all of the above. Hopefully he feels better and the situation is resolved soon, but frankly it's none of our business.
Gonna be real, I don’t really think this nor the Pinegrove stuff should have ever been public knowledge. It’s hard for me to come up with any tangible benefits for anyone involved in either of those situations to make it a public conversation. I also think it’s pretty important to remember that the shit with Pinegrove would have likely never been made public if it weren’t for the fake therapist blackmailing him into making a statement.
She is an artist who mixes pop with metalcore music. All with quite silly lyrics that kind of take the 00’s metalcore misogyny and flip it.
