    Why do I need potatoes? I get my vegetable needs from actual vegetables, I get my starches from rice and beans and bread. I've never eaten anything and been like "I need a potato-based something to go with this". Even though I like fries as I said, I don't need those as a side. I'll happily take applesauce or something instead

    the only salad of this type i do actually like is shrimp macaroni salad. as long as it's not too mayo-y
