I got it in 3 today, I've decided to go more vowel heavy with my first guesses as there are a decent amount of "OI", "OU", "AU", "AI" combos in English 5 letter words

CAULK

 

My wife starts with Adieu nowadays, and Ive switched to 'point' sometimes, instead of 'steam' or 'aside', but Im not sure it helps, hurts, or is the same. Regardless, I just shoot for par.

i try to find a random word from whatever app or thing i was just reading

 

4/6 today for me. I went outside my usual strategy to get a few vowels into my second guess:

5/6. Used my 4th guess just to try and eliminate letters.

My dad was a carpenter, so I don’t recall ever not knowing about caulk. I have Magic: the Gathering to thank for being familiar with “abbey” and “knoll”.

just gonna leave this here. It tickles my brain in ways I never thought possible. My favorite thing to come out of the Worlde craze.

 

Wow, that is intense. I need to figure out a comprehensive strategy for that one after playing a few times, but it was fun. Got all 4 in 6, 7, 9, and 8 respectively.

 

that's fantastic. 50% of the time I only get like 3.

 

The last one I got, #3 FLAIL, was a complete and total guess. Fitting for the word . . .

6/6, got by on luck here. The last letter I had to reveal could’ve been 3 different letters!

Also I don’t care if the NYT words are harder or not because w/e harder words make the game more fun, but I will say that 5 out of the 7 days they’ve had it I’ve gotten a 5/6 score and I didn’t have many of those before

After two days of getting different words to everyone else, my Wordle page in my browser refused to load this morning as normal. Refreshed the page and now have the NYT branded version, and have lost all completion data.

Streak gone. Attempt log gone. It's even forgotten I use dark mode.

That's me boycotting the NYT for life now.

 

4/6 here, had the same issue with missing one letter and it could be plenty. got lucky.

A lot on my newsfeed are 5/6 and 6/6 with the same missing letter

 

Huh and here i thought today was an easy one. 3/6
