Got the Wordle in 3 and the Nerdle in 2 today.

Ok, this was far and away my worst Wordle. Got it in 6 (my first 6 in a very long time) but it took me close to half an hour of guessing words that didn't exist before I realized that the first letter was very different than what I thought it was

I got the Globle in 5 at least

It was mentioned in the news a lot recently because for a while it and Papua New Guinea were the only countries other than the US without paid family leave (and, although they added it, a lot of articles and maps still mentioned that they didn't), so that helped me there quite a bit haha

Today’s word was a crime against humanity

 

I had 3 of the 5 letters in the first try but still I was like there is no word in the English language that has those letters in any other order haha

 

I had three letters in the wrong place on my first guess as well and went into my fifth guess still with three letters in the wrong place. I got to the point where I was genuinely convinced that either Wordle was bugged or I was playing absurdle by mistake

 

Now that its been like a month or so, what is the prevailing strategy in this game? To guess the word in the fewest guesses? Or to guess the word before 6 guesses?

I value my streak too much to be trying to stumble onto the word in 2 guesses lol

 

Getting it quickly is nice but what's important is figuring out the vowels and consonants , so for instance if I do heart and boing unless the only vowels are u and y you probably have some idea what letters are in the game

 

Yeah, I don't really care too much about the score itself, as long as it's not a 6 (too nerve-wracking for me). I'm content that I can pretty much always get it in 4 or 5, even though I obviously like the feeling of getting it quicker. But, once that streak is gone and you're win% is no longer 100%, there's no getting that back, so I think that's more important than the score, to me at least. I'm not sure if I would stop playing if my streak were broken, like some in here have indicated, but I do think it would lessen my motivation just a bit
