Considering I had the exact same info from my first word and proceeded to guess three more incorrect words before finally getting it, I would like to believe that you're giving too much credir and that I'm not just unusually bad at this
Bight, eight, fight, potentially hight, light, might, night, right, sight, tight, wight.Absolutely has to be one of the most ghastly ending combos available if you just have to make guesses randomly. I did badly today but did manage to eliminate most of those letters before I knew the end, but I still thought of almost all of those and had to risk how obscure they were willing to go. Very glad it wasn’t as horrible as it could have been, but all the twos and threes today are blowing my mind a little bit. There are just SO many options.
If I was that person I would have had to take an impossible guess at clue three or four to get rid of as many starts as possible. That’s one reason why I can’t commit to hard mode, I would hate for this exact scenario to pop up.
Jfc I didn’t even think of eight! Might’ve taken me 3 attempts if I had — I only got this one in 2 because L felt like an underdog among M, N, R, S, and T
What happened was I thought "Oh, I need a word with an L in it" and somehow walked away with a W Top of my head: fight night wight right might sight And i know there are more. Crazy common English word structure
the NYT paid a guy 7 figures for a fad that'll be over in a month who cares at least the guy got paidddd
It would probably have been over in a couple of months anyway, but it's just annoying that "The Man" can't leave alone these fun little internet quirks that pop up every so often. Glad for the founder dude though.
yeah the attention span for wordle isnt gonna be too long lol honestly id probably stop playing daily once my streak comes to an end
Good for the founder. Gonna be so bummed when it gets paywalled. It's been a fun way to start the day before doomscrolling.
I'm not a subscriber, but NYT's Games has 1 million subscribers. I guess some people are into it... are these bundled with an NYT subscription or something? I'm surprised by that number. Both Cooking and Games Reach 1 Million Subscriptions | The New York Times Company
I subscribe because I do the mini crossword every day. It’s like $5 a month and worth it for something I’m doing every day. I think it’s also bundled with the regular sub as well
The spelling bee and crossword are great, but this news is so disappointing. Really hope it doesn’t get paywalled or change functionality.
