4 for me today and mine has a satisfying horseshoe shape

 

This is cool! Got it in 4 today but I definitely wasted my first two guesses thinking the “how to play” was a jumping point for the word I was trying to guess haha

Don’t mind me while I use this post to update my score every day so if my history is ever cleared out, the data is still there

 

Yeah it's confusing the first couple times you play.

 

3rd day playing and I got it in 4 tries! Not bad.

 

Maybe a silly a question, but do I need to do anything for this to save my stats? Make an account or keep the tab open? Or does it just remember my IP or whatever

 

It will remember your stats based on your device but I am sure if you clear history / cookies it will be reset

I've spent a bit too much time over the last couple days thinking about the optimal word to use for your first guess. I've been using "great" the last few days (five different letters, all of them fairly common, two different vowels, letter placement feels pretty standard as well), but that got me nowhere today. Might try something else tomorrow

 

I use Alamo every time for the first word....

because I'll never forget

"grief" is an alternative if you want to knock out i and e

also, "poops" is great for o's, "dicks" works best for i's, etc

I got lucky in guessing stamp as my first word.

 

No real rhyme or reason to which word I guess first except that it’s all different letters. I started with “spray” for today’s. Don’t remember what I started with yesterday.
