not sure if this needs spoiler tags but from what i heard hugh grant doesn't show up until about midway in
I legitimately don't buy it. There's people praising it and then a bunch of people saying it's just messy. I'll watch it and make my own opinion, but it doesn't seem fantastic or anything that needs to be watched. The original still GOAT.
I could’ve sworn I commented when the trailer dropped, but apparently not. I never thought this even looked as bad as people were saying. I had full trust in Paul King after the first two Paddington movies. It’s not something I’ll bother to go see, but I’m excited to check it out when it hits VOD
I still think that the trailers have made this look pretty bad, but with the creative team behind, and in front of the camera, I trusted that it could actually be surprisingly good. I wonder what its tomato score will debut at, and how casual movie goers will react to it. Seems to be extremely positive from early reactions. I think it'll debut 85% but not much higher than the low 90's (for anyone that takes stock in that sort of thing). Having the AMC stubs movie pass is infinitely worth it as it means I don't have to think too hard about spending money on this where I'm borderline. I do wish my AMC had more smaller movies though - I don't see Saltburn / Dream Scenario The Holdovers playing there.
Wild that Ehrlich saw the movie that the footage in those trailers came from and somehow said “good,” but hey, whatever. My ass certainly will not be watching!
