We are putting together a list of reading for the film, but I want to make it very clear that there is a book everyone interested in WW neeeeeeeds to check out. It's my absolute favorite origin story for her so far. I know it is a second volume, but I still suggest reading it first. Its perfect.

That being said, I don't want to discount any of the other books we'll be discussing. They are all seriously so great. Can't wait for that post. :wonderwoman:

65 to 115?? How can those predictions be so wildly apart?

The "tracking" are done by independent research firms. Most have the flick in the $65 million range, but there are one or two outlier firms that have it pegged considerably higher. Much like polling, it all just depends on how look at the data and what assumptions the model is making. This kind of discrepancy is rare, as most articles are pointing out, but really it looks like the vast majority expect 65-75 million.

The 65 mark sounds more reasonable unless reviews are super strong. I just don't see it cracking more than 75 opening weekend.

I was thinking about writing about Vol 2 instead of Vol 1 for the Rebirth write up because it's the origin and more accessible than Vol 1. The alternating issues worked well for floppies but not trades.

Personally think that makes a lot more sense.

The final trailer is really badass. Looking forward to this.

  9. I thought it was a fan poster, but apparently it's an actual Chinese poster. Either way, I love it.

Cautiously excited about these early reactions. Really hoping this is one turns out to be a hit for DC, but I'm excited for it regardless.

They went in an interesting direction with her origin, according to Chris Pine.

He says, it lines up with her New 52 origin and she is Zeus' daughter.

I'm more confident in these early reactions that I have been in the past because I've checked out a lot of the twitters and they are critics, journalists, not just fans who got see the movie early. and some even realistically state that it's not without issues, but is still really great.

Those critic reactions hit all of the right notes for me. Although, "best DCEU film by far" is probably the lowest bar to hurdle for me, I love that everyone mentions that the movie is uplifting and funny. That is very encouraging.

    Please be good.

Hahaha! I literally just read that book last night. Wonderful timing.

(For those wondering, it comes from Trinity #6).

Love these early WW reactions, glad to see critics positive about it and that it's not just the normal BEST MOVIE EVER from fans who saw an early screening like so many early Twitter takes are.
