    1. Very good movie, easily the best in this DC universe.

    2. Gal Gadot might be the most beautiful woman I've ever seen

What's funny (or sad) is that this is the BEST DC can do.... and it's still just "good". Like, it's fine. We've seen DC do much worse, but what is it with this company.

a ton of very memorable sequences though that's for sure, but so many scenes and dialogue made me want to barf. I'll give it a 7/10, because the whole movie experience felt memorable and i like that. And yes Gal Gadot is ridiculously beautiful.

Oh and i'm also not a comic book book guy at all, so take my review with a grain of salt

Haven't seen this yet, but getting more and more keen to based on how well its being received. Gal is stunning, and Chris Pine fucking rules.

I agree with a lot of the Marvel stuff in here too. Marvel hasn't been that "crash hot" for a long time, and I feel (personally) that sometimes their films rely too much on fan service, and what will make a good Tumblr GIF as opposed to storytelling and substance. Just my thoughts.

I think this is better than most Marvel movies to date.

  15. Movie wildly popular with critics and fans and yet some of these responses just crack me up.

Holy Christ. I work at an old movie palace that seats over 750 people in the main screen and we just did 635 people for the 7 o'clock showing of Wonder Woman...on a Tuesday. I haven't had business like this since The Force Awakens or when we had Jurassic World/Inside Out on the same weekend.

My favorite posts are the "it has some big flaws" but then they don't elaborate on these supposed "big flaws"

there are going to be people who don't like the movie. i mean...it is just a comic book movie in the end.

Because movies based on comic books can't have any other artistic worth?

I mean they can although most of them seem to be pretty standard flare (this being one of them). Maybe Wonder Women is on the slightly better side of the spectrum, definitely, but this isn't one of those movies people should be surprised to hear criticisms for.

The Dark Knight is the only one I would say supercedes the genre.

  24. "supersede" means take the place of ... and I'll never understand why certain genres are more "worthy" of critical acclaim than others.

    Surpasses standard comicbook movies.

    Point stands however.

TDK is one of the greatest action movies of all time.

And its pretty obvious some genres lend themselves to more critical depth than others, that doesn't mean they can't tell meaningful stories or be good.

Just that the amount of comicbook movies I'd call great are pretty few.

It's silly to pretend this is a flawless film and criticizing others for having a different opinion is as well.

I liked WW, but I'm not gonna look down on others who don't.

My fiance and I went and saw this tonight. Holy crap what a movie! This is exactly the movie the DCU needed (and I like Man Of Steel and Batman V Superman even with their flaws). This is a film not just for fans. Strong cast and strong characters all around. Even coming at it from a parents point of view and seeing the positives of a strong female superhero for little girls to look up to. What little wouldn't want to be Wonder Woman after this movie? I'm excited for Justice League again. Batman is my favorite comic book character of all time - but I was still on the fence. Give me more of what this movie offered and I'm all in. Can't wait for the sequel. I'll be taking the little dude to see this next week.
