was kinda hoping someone who saw it early would tweet something along the lines of “don’t worry, there’s a satisfying explanation for why steve is still here”
I try to temper expectations when the first round of twitter reactions come out. WB is usually very good about picking critics who will be in the bag for them. Not saying this won’t be good, but they know what they’re doing to hype it up.
sort of had a feeling that’d be the case w/ the early reactions. didn’t find any names i really liked (save for lussier.) sorry if i induced any false hope
I mean, I kinda figure most people here know how this goes with blockbusters at this point. The first wave is always carefully selected & controlled. Happens with every big franchise at this point, outside of the occasional film everyone knows is probably a dud. “It’s also very long, to a fault sometimes,” is probably the most helpful statement in those initial tweets that were shared, lol.
Isn’t this the same critic that constantly mentions ass eating or superheroes banging each other in his reviews?
It’s amazing that sites still fall for it. A real indictment of the clickbait culture for film sites.
Uh oh, Christopher Nolan giving his opinion on films like this going to streaming temporarily. Spoiler, he thinks it’s bad
I do enjoy reading all of this backlash for the HBO Max decision. It was a sigh of relief when it was first announced, but now that those emotions are over it’s clear as day how much of a dick move this was.
Excuse me, WHAT Warner Bros. reportedly paid Wonder Woman 1984 star Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins more than $10 million to praise the film's debut on HBO Max.
