Pretty big get for an expansion team. Abby Dhalkemper is the other USWNT player on the squad so far.

 

So, a little late but it is and isn’t a big get. Obviously Alex Morgan is Alex Morgan but there are some other factors to consider. Not sure how it goes in MLS or other leagues but for the NWSL, expansion teams pretty much always pull in one big soccer name to kick things off. ACFC grabbed Christen Press and Orlando started off with Alex coincidentally a few years ago. She’s a California native and the expectation was that both she as well as Press would end up on the California teams whenever they popped up. Exciting signing for San Diego nonetheless and both the Wave and ACFC are shaping up to have really exciting rosters, especially for year one

Been so pumped to have season tickets for the first ACFC season and then when the schedule came out realized I’ll be out of town the first two home games. Bummer

 

My girlfriend snagged season tickets. We just ordered our jerseys a few days ago, so excited!

 

Still waiting on SD Wave to drop their real kits.

It was a good match on Saturday against ACFC though. Definitely gonna try to snag tix to the home opener at Snapdragon.
