Steve Cobucci from Wolves at the Gate is on a recent JFH podcast. Not listened yet but thought some here might be interested.
Just listened through Eclipse in full this morning (I haven't listened to WATG since Captors) and I was very pleased. Such a tight and cohesive sound.
@beachdude I think you’ll enjoy this album mate! If you do it’s worth going back and listening to their past material too as they’ve been very consistent over the years. I think Eclipse might be my favourite though.
I loovvee that eerie guitar in the opening and then it just becomes such a banger for the rest of it. The chanting pre chorus rules and the high note Steven hits on the "Take it all!" is incredible.
Wolves At The Gate will be in Cincinnati at Legends tonight! Come hang if you live close by. Wolves At The Gate - Tickets - Legend's Bar and Venue - Cincinnati, OH - November 17th, 2019
Holy moly the new record 'Eulogies' rips so hard. How can this band continously release quality music after all these years and be so underrated at the same time? Also this song is so good and the guitar solo is just *chef's kiss*.
Was curious at browsing their name on this site, I do think they're one of the more underrated post-hardcore/metalcore bands in the scene. Have a new album coming out, they don't exactly reinvent the wheel but they haven't produced a bad album yet imo
They’re a band that I always think I should like but I’ve never fully given them the attention they probably deserve. I think I own Captors somewhere. Crazy to think that came out in 2012.
They are an incredibly consistent band who has never put out a bad record or a bad song. But man, I wish they would innovate more. It's the one thing holding them back from being an all-time favorite as far as heavy music goes.
Eulogies was such a good album. Unfortunately, I haven’t digged any of these new singles. Going heavier was NOT the right decision in my opinion. I feel like this album’s going to flop.
New album is very good, although having 5 of the 13 songs be interludes is kinda lame even though it's trying to go with a whole theme for the album which is neat. Smoke (False Devils) and Memento Mori are standouts for me
