"Valley Boy" is stuck in my head all the time. I feel like I will enjoy this record quite a bit. Feels like some of their most restrained work. Though maybe the new songs don't quite hit the same soaring highs as Apologies to the Queen Mary, which would be an unfair measuring stick regardless.

It's excellent. It's a travesty this place calls itself a music site and there are 7 posts in this thread. Smh.

 

This record is so good. I think it's pretty easily their 2nd best behind Apologies. Love "Baby Blue" and "Incantation"

 

Haha you gotta remember this band was in prominence well before a lot of posters here would have liked them, I was 17 when I was wearing my Expo 86 shirt - there's a pretty big time gap here

Will definitely listen to this after I've caught up on everything else

Heading to see them tonight. Still think “Cry Cry Cry” was one of the more underrated records of 2017.

 

Definitely features some of my favorite Spencer Krug songs. “Lazarus Online” in particular.

 

Yea. I think the only song I really think should have been left off or reworked is “Weaponized”. Back half of the song is nice, first half is pretty blah.

Just got back. Amazing. Dan Boeckner has to be one of the most genuinely appreciative musicians I have ever seen live. In between songs the only expression he wears is gratitude and disbelief that he gets to do this for a living. I loved watching every minute of it.
