i am down historically bad that i have to miss their NY show after seeing the setlist theyre rolling out for this US tour. jealous of everyone with tix.
i was skeptical after hearing BBB but this sounds great. It has a sort of adult contemporary thing going on that reminds me a bit of Clairo's Charm
For anyone who missed Ellie's vocals over distorted guitars on this album, she's featured on Daniel Avery's new album, and she sounds fantastic. (Not sure why her credit doesn't include her last name, but its obviously her.)
Same here. Threw it on this morning while making pancakes and was jamming. Love all the 70s influences it brings in from disco to folk to glam, nice change of pace from everyone else mining the 90s.
For some reason I'd just not got round to listening to this, but off to see them tonight in Manchester so thought it was time. On the train and about my 4th play through - wow, so so good. Can't believe I slept on it.
Listened to this album for the first time this week, and yeah, it's making top AOTY vibes for sure. Love it.
I should give it another chance, don't think I liked anything other than Bloom Baby Bloom everytime I try. Just not a lane that appeals to me this time
It's very good. Not one that I'm listening to all the time like Blue Weekend, but it really hits the spot on a Sunday morning or on a walk. "White Horses" is one of the best songs of the year individually too.
