Okay this sounds a lot cooler than the previous snippet

 

Does it though ? lol I’m not gonna get too worked up over snippets but so far I’m a little skeptical

 

I have no idea what this is gonna sound like lol. Based on the “Bloom” lyrics I was expecting something folksy/acoustic like “Safe from Heartbreak,” but then that first piano clip threw me off, and their teasers/visuals this week have me thinking glam rock or something? I just want to hear it at this point lol.

Also think it’s possible that this first song is not an indicator of the album’s sound as a whole, “The Last Man on Earth” doesn’t really sound like the rest of Blue Weekend. (I mean, it does, but it also doesn’t.)

 

Might be layered too - so much of their music is dense, we might only hear that jaunty piano during the intro and then the background haha, who knows

 

Two more weeks to roll out a single - thumbs down

 

at least we have a date i guess
