Mine would probably be something like How Can I Make It OK? Visions of a Life Delicious Things Lisbon She but I'm already mad at leaving other songs off. Really tough.
giant peach formidable cool ——— lipstick on the glass delicious things visions of a life how can i make it ok feeling myself smile you’re a germ play the greatest hits thats my top 10. only the top 2 are ordered. im mad i left out fluffy, space & time, and sadboy. and safe from heartbreak. and planet hunter. and silk. damn it let me start over edit: forgot your loves whore which is an undisputed top 10, more so than the other hms, but i have no idea what to cut lol
Does anyone have the new How Can I Make It OK? shirt? I bought it at the show and I'm wearing it for the first time and the collar is so ROUND. like the circle that makes the collar is larger than any other shirt ive had. i can only describe it like a v-neck but round and i feel like it exposes too much of my chest lol i wanted to look at it online to see if i could compare my shirt with others cuz maybe its just mine thats like that but it isnt on their merch store edit: heres a pic with another t-shirt under it. pulled both down the most i can. this is so weird lol
was listening to My Love Is Cool in the living room and my dad looked over at me twice with a smile during Giant Peach. we recruited another fan (once a bit after the second riff comes in during the beginning and another at the end)
Welcome! Either My Love is Cool or Blue Weekend would be a great starting point. If you love Bros then maybe go MLIC since it's from that album and the rest of the album more or less sounds in line with it, whereas Blue Weekend expands their sound a bit. Visions of a Life is also a great album but it's a bit less "hooky" to me, so maybe listen to that one second or third. And the EPs are really fun as well if slightly less essential, especially the Blush EP.
I’d go chronologically through the albums. Start with My Love is Cool which gives a good representation of all their sounds.
Their entire new album is amazing. But if I had to just pick a few songs as a starting point, I'd say Don't Delete the Kisses, Silk and How Can I Make it Ok. Moaning Lisa Smile is probably their biggest song though.
Ellie does the vocals on this song, would be cool if she kept getting pop feature opportunities like this (and the song is pretty good!):
Just popping in to say I’ve been revisiting this album this week and it rules and I hope we get a new one this year
I think I prefer Visions of a Life (just) for sentimental reasons, but all three records rule and I'm very excited for whatever is next.
Makes sense for all involved, they always kinda were an outlier sonically on Dirty Hit. Hope they get a big push and we get the album this year!
Rina left too, right? I remember her calling out Matty and the label pretty badly at Glastonbury a couple of years ago
She’s still active on Dirty Hit as far I’m aware. At least she hasn’t ever said she signed somewhere else. I don’t think her problem was with DH either, but solely Matty and his involvement with the label.
