I watched The Family Stone for the first time the other day. Some people love this one and I’m kind of baffled by that. I had some fun with it for sure, but it’s a bizarre and kind of bad movie.

 

The Family Stone is categorically insane. One of the most fun holiday movies to watch with another person and talk over the whole thing. It’s bad and I love it

 

That's the one where they do the ol' switcheroo with their partners, right? Yeah that shit is weird.

 

Yea the switcheroo is so weird and unearned haha. It just makes you hate them all even more.

 

It’s a weird one but I love it so much, haha. And it makes me cry and I’m always down for a Christmas cry.

 

I too want to fuck my brother's wife/girlfriend/fiance and have awkward Christmas dinner conversations about who fucked better.

Double featured Your Christmas Or Mine with the sequel tonight. British rom coms. Pretty silly, but both a good time and both are free on Prime. Dude from Sex Education is the lead

 

Just watched this one and it's surprisingly really good.

 

Too early to bump? Probably, but what does anything even mean anymore?

 

Seems like a lot of stuff is getting added to Netflix this week and next for the holidays

 

Since it's still a little early, let's talk Thanksgiving movies. Obviously both Planes, Trains, and Automobiles and A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving are must-watch classics, but since the National Dog Show has become a Thanksgiving tradition, we've started watching Best in Show every year around this time, and it's so good.

 

I’ll be watching the Christmas movie Die Hard when putting up my tree in a few weeks

 

Watched Nick Cage's The Family Man, not to be confused with Nick Cage's The Weather Man. Pretty good holiday Sliding Doors situation. Kinda sad when you realize the precocious little girl never actually existed.

 

Holdovers season

 

I show the movie trailer for that in my Econ class as an example of opportunity cost and choices lol

 

Didn't get to rewatch this last year and was bummed. Excited to see it again.

 

Christmas With the Kranks is horrendous, but I can’t turn it off.

Also, what ever happened to Caroline Rhea? I remembered her being like, a thing, for a while!

 

Also re-watched Serendipity recently. Good romcom (light on the com) for the season.

 

Going to share this every year until someone watches it. If you like the vibe of A Charlie Brown Christmas.
