It’s not remotely funny or fun. Rewatched it a few years ago and I’m good on ever watching it again.

It's a story about a dad going above and beyond

 

It's more a story of a terrible, neglectful husband and father that tries to screw over everyone he meets because he's such a shithead he couldn't be bothered to pick up one gift for his child, Jake Lloyd.

 

Yeah, it's the classic American tale.
