A Christmas Cookie Catastrophe has been my favorite “hallmark style” movie so far this season haha. Check that one out.
I started watching A Kismet Cookie because it was on somebody's Plex and I only made it 20 minutes in but the part where she runs over to this guy's house to tell him that he's her soulmate and it turns out he's having a wedding absolutely killed me lol. I definitely want to start exploring these awful Hallmark movies.
I watched the Freddie Prince Jr. one. It’s a pretty good one as far as those kinds of Christmas movies go. I wish Netflix would make some bigger budget Christmas movies again though.
Haha probably mine. My wife and I like to put on dumb Hallmark Christmas movies to have on in the background while we cook or clean or whatever. There’s some really hilariously bad ones, and some that are actually pretty decent. They’re few and far between, but regardless, they’re entertaining.
Watched 8 Crazy Nights for the first time and was surprised that it's pretty good, obviously some jokes haven't aged well, but it's pretty fun.
I watched my DVD of that sooo many times as a kid. Gotta do a rewatch but my fiance can't stand it so I'm on my own lol
This one is pretty good. As if you couldn't tell from his very old timey haircut and style, but that guy is a ghost from the 1800s.
Watched Violent Night last night... so good. Loved the Home Alone callbacks, and some gnarly deaths. Didn't know he was actually going to be Santa, just thought it was a mall one as the character for the movie. Opening bar scene was great, too. Just finished The Holiday, not sure what to watch next...
I watched Arthur Christmas the other night. It’s pretty fun but also a very strange for a kids movie. It has all these overt anti-Bush administration digs, turns the North Pole into a military industrial complex surveillance state, and one of the morals is pushes is that we should embrace worry more haha.
put the night before on yesterday and i think i’m okay with this being in the yearly rotation. there are times where it feels like the rogen/goldberg raunch is a trojan horse of sorts for this ineffably affecting story about friends staying in touch well into adulthood
it's a digital media service not too different from a streaming service. if you have a library card, you can use the info on it to rent any ten movies/albums/audiobooks etc. for free each month https://www.hoopladigital.com/
Kanopy also has a pretty big selection. Sign up with a library card as well. Watched the Lifetime movie Under the Christmas Tree and feel truly equal with it being just as poorly written and acted as all the heterosexual Lifetime holiday movies
