It's a ripper. Just out of interest, has anyone around these parts managed to listen to this as a completely new record? I know how difficult that might prove to be considering how long some of the songs have been out.
I saw them at Riot Fest last year, but other than that I had only heard one song. Really enjoyed my first (admittedly background) listen to the album.
i did a full run through yesterday. overall really good. an old high school acquaintance helped with some of the tracks. pretty good first album especially since they recorded it themselves. instrumentation is great. some of the vocal choices aren’t my cup of tea. i personally think they should go in a heavier direction for the second album. add a second guitarist.
I listened to a couple of these songs for the first time a few months ago, but otherwise this was a completely fresh listen for me.
Had never heard a single second of their music before (I actually misread it as the Creeper song title at first). I enjoyed it as an album. Despite being 14 songs, it didn't overstay it's welcome, full of energy and catchy. Best songs were Subaru and I'm In The Market To Please No One. I didn't particularly vibe with some of the melodies on Attention and the odd lyric here and there, and that's just personal taste. Vocalist is really great, lots of charisma, and the guitar solos are fun. More bands in this genre should use them, honestly. Can see why they were on tour with Bayside. Hopefully they make it to the UK on a good package soon.
album rips, goes by fast at 36 minutes, my favorite of the unreleased songs is the opener, 'jumpercables' & 'talk', those two stuck out the most to me but the album flows nicely. Chole played live drums but i wished they hit more, they seem quiet here and there. i wish they had more of a punch but that can also be due to the album being co-produced by her and Austin (bassist). hope this debut album gives them a lot of opportunity. i have never met them before but they seem like a great group!
i caught half their set last year when they toured with bayside, no crowd reaction at all which sucked for them, but they killed it regardless!! \m/
Love the chorus on JUMPERCABLES. Agreed I wish the production punched a little bit more but if they play their cards right this band can be huge in 2-3 years.
Hadn't heard a single thing from them prior to just listening to the album in full. Straight pop-punk rarely does much for me these days, but this is really fun.
Unless it’s changed, I got a ticket for a new show through their site by requesting a unique code. Well, I assume unique, based on prior seated purchases.
yah my date says i need a promo code to purchase tickets edit: code acquired and ticket purchased, stoked!
Cool. Looking back at my code, I realize that it probably not unique. I just got a ticket for The Fray and the code through seated was Cablecar. This one was Elmo haha
The recent Jack’s Mannequin was through seated and used unique codes. Thought that was their deal, but it must have been on Jack’s request.
i think today was the first time i bought tickets through see tickets, it was a really smooth transaction plus now we don't have to worry about the public on sale! i caught a lil bit of WF set last year when they opened for bayside but they opened the show and played super early i missed most of it, so im stoked to see them headline! and then i have never seen one step closer before, had tickets to see them with silverstein a couple years ago but i got sick and bailed. so it'll be fun! plus both shows were under 30 bucks, that's unheard of these days! how much were JM ticketS?
