I was waiting for the season to end to finish this, and now I am just hearing its canceled. I didn't expect that.

Damn Adam McKay and Will Farrell's decades long friendship got ruined over a show that got canned after two seasons.

 

Farell would not have been able to pull off Buss

 

This is why if you're an actor, you should not try to go for projects that are based on things that you are a diehard fan of. Feelings are going to get hurt.

 

I watched the first couple episodes of season 2, is it worth it to finish the season knowing the story has an incomplete ending?

 

John C. Reilly was absolutely the right choice but McKay handled it like such a shitty friend and was too afraid to tell Ferrell. I don't blame Ferrell for being done with him after his best friend and business partner didn't have the guts to tell him that he didn't actually have the part after leading him on for so long. Reilly was the one that called Ferrell.

 

I think Adam McKay also said something super douchey after the split about how "(will) can go and make his silly movies, I make important things that matter"
