New song “Brighton” is out on Patreon. Really cool ambient/atmospheric vibe. Love the lyrics of this one. Runs 6:19.

 

The new song made me think of Taylor Swifts new track “Epiphany” - not sure why. Maybe a similar melody in there. Who knows. Both are awesome!

 

The new song from WRK this month is one of my favorites he's done. Really cool structure and the mix is great

 

Hopefully he releases them to the public at some point.

 

I believe he said that he was planning on putting them all together on an EP at some point. Can't remember what the details were exactly.

Awesome cover of Jimmy Eat World's Work today on Patreon. It's really, really good.

Irrelevant, but I *think* there's someone else singing bg vox at some point after verse 2, but it could just be Ryan going way up there too. Either way, the cover is really good.

He said probably a few weeks ago now he was doing a YC song that never got played live during one of the livestreams. Anybody happen to know what song it was?

 

Empty Street, Sure Thing Falling and Wrecking Ball were all on the setlist yesterday.

 

Just got around to listening to that cover. It really is great.

 

Finally had the chance to go listen to the October live stream. Man, some of the versions of these old Yellowcard songs that Ryan is playing are so awesome. The versions of "MSK" and "Way Away" that he played in particular were so cool.

 

Ryan announced on Patreon that he will be recording and releasing a two-volume record of re-imagined Yellowcard songs (20-ish tracks), to be released in 2021. There will be guest features and the songs (alternate versions with only WRK vocals) will be released on Patreon early.

 

These need wide releases

 

Should be interesting, but why not just be a Yellowcard release then?

 

He mentioned he is talking to a few labels so I'd imagine they will be released publicly and make some decent traction. We will have to see how things develop but the whole thing sounds really exciting.

Is there already a tracklist of the collection he plans on reimagining?

 

No not yet, but sounds like he's planning to do a lot.
