Hey everyone. Wanted to clarify the new song was supposed to be offered in both tiers and we are fixing that now. Thanks for the support! Hope you dig it. -WRK
This song is very different from anything I’ve done before. If you guys are into it that’s awesome, but if it’s not your cup of tea I totally understand. Thanks for the support!
There has been a song in your discography that I haven’t enjoyed, so I am curious and excited to hear any new music. Will these songs ever be released as an EP, or on bandcamp or anything like that? Not sure if the plan is to keep them limited to Patreon (for yourself or any other bands) or if they will receive a formal release at some point.
It’s one new song a month right? I take it you only get access to this song if you sign up DURING this month and so forth? Like you don’t get a back catalogue
@supernovagirl What I have seen on Patreon before, is that no matter when you sign up, you can access all that has been released. For example, I started Ace Enders a month or two back and was able to download ALL the songs he had released over the last couple years on there
Oo okay I didn’t know that. That’s good since I likely can’t afford this month but am intrigued by a song that is “very different than anything he’s done before”
Maybe next year sometime when I have a whole albums worth of songs I’ll record one or two more just for the album and release them all. For now it’s just just the best way to get music out to everyone, substitute some touring income since we can’t tour right now, and still have time to focus on scoring and composing which I’m working hard to get going.
This is probably what i’m looking forward to most. Hopefully we can hear some of the scoring stuff on Patreon too at some point!
I was very excited for an album this year, but that sounds like great plan. It’s great seeing artists adapt and staying connected to fans.
Really dig the song, fit in perfectly on tonight’s drive back home. It has been really fascinating to watch the evolution of your songs over the past few years especially from Yellowcard into WRK. Was this song inspired by anything/anyone in particular? It has such an ambient/atmospheric feel to it, curious as to where that inspiration may have come from. I know you’ve mentioned drifting into this sound space a bit over the past year or two. Good luck and happy to support as always. Cheers!
Yeah you must have missed something. Probably missed me saying multiple times that I’m not just a hater coming for him. And don’t start something you don’t want to finish. me: I’m not really a fan of Ryan’s solo stuff it’s not as good as yellowcard imo Ryan: so this song I’m releasing is unlike anything I’ve done before Me: huh okay that intrigues me, my curiosity is driving me to want to check it out Yes I can see how that would be... very confusing.
@williamryankey Hi Ryan!..Sorry Iam going back to Yellowcard and I don’t know how much impact you have on what’s available on streaming services but I feel like Underdog EP deserves to be up there. That little collection of songs means so much to me and Iam sure to lot of people too!!Wish you the best!
Try searching for Lights and Sounds instead of looking for it under Yellowcard, it shows up for me for some reason, Apple Music has this weird habit of duplicating artists and their discogs get split don’t know if it’s something @williamryankey can solve, but maybe he can somehow get someone in touch with Apple to consolidate the music again
Unfortunately I don’t really have any pull there. It all has to do with licensing between the labels and the streaming services. Not sure why certain records wouldn’t be available but I think it’s just us what it is sadly.
Like I said, Lights and Sounds is actually there. But you have to search specifically for it. It’s not listed in the albums scroll which is really weird. Anyways, yeah there’s always weird little details like this that get bungled somehow by one entity or another with streaming.
