I like TWOD, and this just evokes a similar feeling in me. A little bit in the music, a little bit in the vocals, but mostly I just feel like I should be listening to this in the late afternoon / evening on a summer day.
WoD is kind of a weird one for me. I've listened to their albums ALOT and I do like them but their records kinda sound like 1 long song to me. An enjoyable listen but it's always hard for me to remember specific parts. Awesome night time driving music tho
Thank you to whoever recommended this in either the album release thread or the Jason Q&A-thread.(Multiple people probably did) This is a fantastic summer nights record.
lol “Mark Kozelek fans who wish he’d start writing songs again must be dreaming of something like this, a track whose starlit slowcore is a balm for the hopelessly melancholy, an idyllic “prenatal slow globe” and a “world untouched and set free/The way it was meant to be.”
Really love this album but I feel like I won’t appreciate its true potential until the weather starts to get a bit cooler.
wow I completely forgot about this. I'm glad they pivoted to this rather than the dcfc lite of the self titled.
I just don’t hear DCfC on Wild Pink I love both records but I feel the debut had a more unique sound - kind of a suburban Americana inteospective rock thing which should be incredibly lame but somehow works this new thing is amazing but we have to admit it is way too polished
I love this band and have seen them twice. They deserve all the success they get. Stoked for the new record.
