Was just coming in to post exactly this. The whole album is an absolute delight, but that moment is the best.
Played this while I did a scenic ride on my (stationary) bike with some beautiful italian road playing and it was perfect. Hid all the stat shit and just rode out
Haha damn I missed this when I posted the same thing. I’m listening through again and it honestly hit me just as hard haha, Christmas is great and all but the way it kind lulls makes that transition really stand out
Anyway, never been super into Wild Pink but this record is really doing it for me. Once I've spent a considerable amount of time with it, I’ll back track to see if maybe the older stuff clicks any more
If anyone hasn’t bought the record yet you can bundle it and a livestream ticket on their Bandcamp. also I’m guessing an 8.2 BNM from P4K. Would looooooove for them to get that much deserved bump. The record is beautiful.
This is SOOOOOOO pretty. I listened to their last one , I don’t completely remember it but it certainly didn’t sound like this. anyone remember Mimicking Birds? This record reminds me a lot of their self-titled one from 2010ish I think.
That stream was awesome. Really love the steel guitar on this album, and that dude was vibing out and loving every minute. The album sounded so good live.
Listening to this album was my first time listening to Wild Pink, loved it. Does the rest of their stuff have a similar vibe?
Yolk in the Fur is my preference right now, a masterpiece IMO. It’s got more punch to it. This one is still growing on me.
yolk in the fur is similar, but a bit less country / Americana, but is a genuine masterpiece. the debut is totally different, sorta like early death cab meets Pedro the lion
