so hyped for my record to arrive. mail delays have been terrible lately.

 

another one of my favorites on the record

 

I really think this could shoot them into the big leagues. Nation wide coverage. John Ross going forward will become a Timmy Petty like indie rock legend, he is that great of a songwriter.

 

The first time I saw them live was in someone’s basement in Iowa to like maybe 15-20 people, but it was what hooked me on them.

 

wish I would have had a little more self control before Friday but another 10/10

 

this is seriously AOTY stuff man

 

When this was announced in October it felt so far away that I was surprised to realize that it's out this week.

 

This and Julien Baker releasing back to back weeks is gonna be a 1-2 gut punch of fantastic albums

Diving in now. Haven't listened to any of the pre release songs.

This is good. Not as immediately wow-ing as Yolk in the Fur but good nonetheless. Will need more listens to fully know. The last song and Amalfi are fantastic though. Oversharers Anonymous is probably the one song that reminded me most of Yolk in the Fur.

 

This was exactly my first listen thoughts. Grew on me for sure tho

 

Yeah it seems a more subtle album for sure. I definitely like it but it'll definitely need a few listens to let it settle in that it isn't Yolk in the Fur.

 

i absolutely loved yolk in the fur but this is way more stunning out of the gate for me

This is already honestly my favorite album of the past few months. Hitting alllllll the right notes for me

 

I adored the self-titled and still do go back to it very often. Yolk in the Fur didn't do much for me personally, But man this new one is a nice blend i feel like of both records...already diggin it more than Yolk.

 

This is just a really gorgeous record that is super easy to have on in the background. Will probably play it a lot over the next few weeks because it's so pleasant to listen to while I'm working.
