Nice, I've been spinning Nocturne a lot lately so this news comes at the perfect time

never listened to them before but this song is great. is it similar to their older stuff?

for the most part yeah, he stays within the same realm of jangle pop stuff.

the empty estate EP is the most different stuff he's done, i love that EP a lot. you definitely need to check out nocturne, that's one of the best jangle pop records ever imo

Nocturne is incredible and Gemini (a favorite record of mine in high school) was very important to me, placed 25 on the fork's top 50 dream pop records. Definitely listen to Nocturne though! The last album was a misstep but this seems to be a return to form.

the last album wasn't "bad" it was just kind of weak compared to the rest of their stuff

a burst and I'm awake now Supporter

Couldn't get into the last record at all, already liking the new single more than anything off of it.

  13. Haven't loved anything he's done outside of Nocturne, but I REALLY love Nocturne, and these singles have been interesting.

I love this record! I need way more time to let it settle in but I agree its far better than the last album. Almost on par with Nocturne for me personally.

  19. This album is definitely more interesting than the last one, but still not quite as tight as Nocturne - about what I expected based on the singles. I did a short write-up here if anyone is interested.

damn, not much jumps to mind! Glad you dig it though, would highly recommend Gemini and Nocturne if you’re new to his music though

Check out Hoops, Craft Spells and Beach Fossils is you aren’t already familiar also!

off the top of my head I can't think of many RIYL artistis for this but the most recent Mew LP and both records by DIIV have some similarities imo
