When I think of ridiculous pitchfork reviews this has always been the first one the first one that’s pops in to my head.
Yeah it's among the worst for sure. Sodomsky does good work though, happy the record had been corrected
Couple weeks late here but I still think sky blue sky is 2/3 junk. Just does not do much for me at all.
Mad at every single ranking, but not mad enough to make my own list this is really an impossible band to do what is an already impossible task with
why are you mad raichu surely not every single ranking. surely you aren’t mad at 23 seconds of silence being last.
Man it's wild how criminally underrated Ghost Is Born is everytime I throw it on I'm blown away. Easily my second favorite of theirs
It's an unbelievable album and yet for me still pretty easily not in their top 3. I could definitely buy that I need to call it a top 4 though, really excellent record. And as far as its ongoing influence I feel like multiple bands in the past couple years have talked about trying to rip off the At Least That's What You Said and Hell is Chrome solos too (J Break on Posing for Cars is first to come to mind). Jeff is on another planet on those.
Finally got "At Least That's What You Said" live when I saw them with S-K in August and I Ascended during the second half of it while Jeff was playing
Dunno how many uncle tupelo heads there are in here but spinning this tonight…recorded thirty years ago this week as the name says
saw the absolute lords play YHF tonight. sensational. Wilco Setlist at United Palace Theatre, New York
in chicago i’m guessing? you’ll have to let me know how the venue is. the one here was beautiful. i’ve been to a. lot of chicago ones but i don’t think i’ve ever been to the Auditorium Theater (redundant title)
New to the thread but not to the band. Seen them twice. Once in 2014 and once right before the pandemic. Both were unreal. Probably been said here, but I stack Ode To Joy up there with the best Wilco records. Band really doesn’t miss.
