This is a good record, real dark and atmospheric. Need more time with it.

Closest thing to an inessential record is Wilco (The Album). And even that has a couple jams.

P4K review is good. Score is low imo.

With each listen this is digging into my brain. I would probably give it an 8.9. One of my favorites of the year for sure.

 

Finally getting to this. Liking it tons on first listen, the atmosphere kind of reminds me of the back half of Sky Blue Sky

Great autumnal headphones record it seems. Also just a great record

I love how this somehow sounds like both Dinosaur Jr and Bright Eyes

 

This is their best record in a hot minute, and probably the best-produced record I've heard all year. And has some of the best lead guitar of the year, too.

 

listen to sturgill, but yes, it sounds great

 

I just love that first THUD when this record starts, really sets a mood for the whole thing

 

I did. It's damn good. I still prefer the production on this one. More varied and a lighter touch.

This is really starting to grow on me. The later half esp. We Were Lucky, and Hold Me Anyway are my favs
