Ariana incredible throughout
Movie overall was incredible mostly during last 40 min
Color palette was not great
Defying Gravity and final shot gave me goosebumps

 

Not familiar with the Broadway show at all, and musicals are pretty low on my list of movie genres, but I was always going to see this because my fiance is a big fan. Also not the biggest fan of Ariana (despite thinking she is talented.) Despite all of that, I thought this was excellent. Excited for Part 2 now.

 

Also went in blind, except having heard Defying Gravity, and I’m not much of a musical fan. I was completely enveloped by this movie from the jump. Had no idea the Wizard was going to be a fascist villain which took me by huge surprise. It made relistening to The Wizard and I so emotional.

Can’t wait for Part 2!

 

I just listened to Ariana’s Las Culturistas episode today and they said “holding space” at least 5 or 6 times and I think it happened before the viral interview so I want to know if it inspired the interviewer or not lol

 

never heard any of these songs and don’t know anything about the plot, gonna go see this tomorrow night

 

I’d suffer a horrific injury attempting to get any book in the library at Shiz University

 

thought this was a quite fun and baffling movie

 

How much was spent on ads tho

 

Gotta be way more than the production budget, the marketing for Wicked was everywhere!!

 

however much they spent, it is obviously a massive hit

 

And it’s current success is going to drive up the returns for Part 2 next year.

 

$350m is a figure I saw somewhere

 

Never watched the stage show or anything, but I expected I would enjoy this. Didn't expect to get this obsessed though, like it's all I can think about since I saw it Saturday, and I've listened to the soundtrack multiple times.

 

I just got home from the cinema after seeing Wicked Part 1 and I definitely made the right decision to watch this instead of Kraven The Hunter because Wicked Part 1 is really good, bring on part 2!!

 

The sing along screenings r gonna be sheer and utter chaos!!

 

Seeing this now on my school’s movie theater trip.

 

Dancing Through Life is fun. Why did they light it like shit?
