Checking this out. I'm not sure I would be interested as much if I didn't see him play back in December. I definitely enjoyed the singles. Did his previous material under this project have this much acoustic guitar?

 

It's so good. Raw and Declawed was pretty much his only acoustic release as Wicca Phase (and my favorite release of his). I'm glad to hear more of that stuff from him.

Check out the song "Shut my Eyes" on Wicca's bandcamp, from Shut My Eyes. Somewhat similar to this album in how it incorporates acoustic guitar.

 

This album is great and I really think he’s dialed in the overall vibe with the Tigers Jaw sounds and the beats. It all mixes well and flows in a way some of his stuff hasn’t before. Corinthiax was okay, and I dug My Heart Won’t STFU and the Zubin track a good amount too. It’ll be interesting to see what other similar artists do; Lil Tracy seems to have changed up his sound since Peep passed away.

anyway, this album is coming into contention with BOCC for my aoty at the moment.

 

Has he performed with a backing band as Wicca Phase before? Interested to see what the headline sets will be like, especially with all the energy of Angel Dust opening.

Haven’t heard the whole thing, but this sounds way different than I expected from what I have heard. Basically just sounds like early tigers jaw with beats. Into it

Sorry, that was actually a stupid thing to say given the subject matter, but his voice does remind me of Tom Delonge at times for some reason.

 

I don’t hear any delonge but yeah this album rules

 

Was excited to see him tonight, but show was canceled due to snow. Second time he's had to cancel in MN. Some day!
