Song is awesome. This is one of the most underrated bands out there right now.

 

this, Bon Iver, and Noah all happening in the same month has my head spinning

 

these new songs are really really good love the sound

and the recording is really really good

its all a big step up

Buzzing on a couple of white claws and dancing alone in my living room with the lights off to this record and I have no regrets

Could only fit one record in before bed and I chose LDR. Can’t wait to check this out tmm

 

Four listens in, I love that this is basically just like a more chilled out version of the debut. Definitely nothing here as upbeat as The Falls or No Matter, but otherwise they basically pulled all the same stops and I’m 100% here for it. Rhododendron is like Red Moon on steroids

 

This is good but on first listen I feel like it's just the debut again but with 1/3 as many transcendent moments, I'm gonna have to give it another try when I'm more in the mood

 

This is more immediate to me than Lake was, really enjoying it. Feels more confident.

 

Less immediate for me, it's fine.

 

Love this. I think it’s kind of like Room on Fire. Similar to the debut, but I’d listen to arguments for why it’s better. And I myself will go back and forth.

 

I like this wayyyyy more than Lake

the songwriting, extra instrumentation, and production is a BIG step up

 

Lake felt more immediate to me, but I think this shows growth in just about every way imaginable. Lyrically and sonically, this just has a lot more depth to it. It's not a knock against Lake, but I think this will eventually be accepted as the stronger record. It's gorgeous.

 

well, this was released at the perfect time of the year. agree with everyone, there's a lot more to to the instrumentation than on Lake. I'm going to get lost in this.

 

I will say Rhododendron is really cool.

 

this has pretty much been on loop since Friday morning. I can't get enough of it.

 

It goes by so quick that it’s hard to not just let it play through at least twice at a time!

 

Definitely has amazing replay value, just like the debut

 

Like it, don't love it. I love the first album so it's hard to rank it higher. I think the singles are the 3 strongest songs on the album.

 

The title track is so good though

Was behind on listening to new stuff, so yesterday was my first real listen. I absolutely love this. It’s more immediate for me compared to Lake.
