This whole album rules. I haven’t listened to any of the old stuff? Should I just start at the beginning?
I love that the first half of this album is straight rock n roll and the second half is pretty much an extension of their last two releases. Somehow it just works. I feel like these guys can do whatever they want musically as long as the vocals don’t change.
Did a binge of all the Reaper records tonight and I stand by my initial rank: You Deserve Love > World’s Best American Band > Asking For a Ride > White Reaper Does it Again
I’m not 100% sure but I think they have continued to get better with every album “1F” certified best song of all time though
It’s straight up criminal that this song didn’t propel them to the big leagues. Such a top tier track.
These new songs are going to rip live. A little surprised they didn't lean more into radio rock sound like the last album but this was a pleasant surprise.
This album was not what I was expecting but a lot of the songs clicked with me. A surprisingly breezy listen. It was over before I knew it, but it was very good.
while in general I am impressed with their commitment to economy (and "funny farm" is the perfect length), a couple songs here and there are crying out for a bridge to kick them into the next gear....this is basically my only complaint. the songs are so good fellas you can let em breathe a bit!
The new shit GOES hard as hell live. But the best sounding song here (and a dark horse best track of theirs) is Ring. Every band member is clear and in a perfect groove, the sound is phenomenal and the guitars WAIL.
