  1. Haha, I saw La Dispute do that with Such Small Hands recently. Opened and closed with it. Kinda bizarre

I tried to hold off on listening to Pink Slip in the efforts to not overplay any singles before the album release, but my Spotify decided to play it anyway. I do not regret not changing the song - what a treat that tune is!

  5. 2000s pop punk flavour kinda riff

I played “Pages” for a friend and he thought it was Fountains of Wayne-esque, which is a compliment in his book.

Fountains of Wayne rules. It’s a shame they’re only known for Stacy’s Mom.

I can't get over the main guitar line in Pink Slip. So catchy.

You guys are making it impossible to not listen to Pink Slip. But I’m still holding out.

Twice now my Spotify was on random shuffle and was playing a song and I was like: “this sounds awesome what is this?” And both times it was Pink Slip which I’m trying to hold off on until Friday hahaha

    Can’t wait for Friday!

I, too, am stoked for Friday. The 3 singles have been absolutely great and completely different from each other.

Fog machine is the best of the singles in my opinion. Love the thin lizzy guitar riff in that one.

Fog Machine is allllmost Kiss' Detroit Rock City. Which I love haha.

All 3 songs are really good but Fog Machine is also my standout

Really stoked to hear this Friday

I’ve turned off my Spotify random for the week to avoid hearing Pink Slip. I’m so close to making it and it seems like it’s gonna be worth the wait based on all the chatter.

Gonna blast this record on Friday - might just drive around for 40 minutes and let it wash over me like a mighty stream of riffs.

I will say one of the downsides to living in a big city like Chicago is that the idea of “driving” around and listening to music is very different than what it meant when I was growing up in a different city. Now I tend to go for walks with headphones instead.

Great album. I do like the opener but it feels a little tryhard "let's prove we can still rock the fuck out" move, unlike the rest of the album, which is as hook-dense as any rock record I've heard in a while.
