Maybe I'll watch this if it's getting compared to Korine. Like lo-fi early Korine or Spring Breakers? Or more in content than aesthetic?

Watched it yesterday. It was alright. The Korine/Clark comparisons aren't totally off, but I don't think this was nearly as good as Kids or Spring Breakers. It's got the same aesthetic and examines youth sexuality and drug use in a similar way, but it doesn't quite "hit" like those films do. I guess there are also themes about white privilege, but I don't feel like they were really explored enough.

I'll be interested to see what others think. Seems like it will be a love it or hate it kind of movie. Morgan Saylor and Brian Marc both gave good performances and Wood seems like she could be a promising director, but overall I don't know if I will ever revisit this movie.
