If you want to stick with bourbon, Old Forester, Woodford Reserve, and Maker's Mark are all solid options

    good but way overpriced

I'm in the midst of a semi-dry January (haven't had a drink since the 1st) and just keep staring at my whisky shelf and smelling them.

I feel like Blanton's is a nice introductory whiskey, and I wish it was priced as such. It's just a great straight down the middle bourbon in the best way.

In terms of the insane pricing and difficulty of finding some Buffalo Trace products, Elmer T. Lee stands as the most puzzling for me. It's nearly impossible to find in my area and, when it is found, it's usually around $200. Haha. I think the retail is around $40-$50, and it drinks like a nice $40-$50 bourbon. I will never understand the scarcity of this bottle.

Going to a whisky festival in Scotland next weekend while the wife/kids are away for the week.

£50 / ($70ish?) For a ticket for unlimited whiskies, from like 30 exhibitors of distilleries and independent bottlers. Should be tremendous.

    PEOPLE ARE DRINKING VANILLA LATTES

Been making my way through a bottle of Old Granddad with old fashioneds. For such a cheap bourbon, it’s incredibly solid. Has a nice spice that really warms you up in this winter season.
