So me and about 7 buddies have a once a month whiskey club gathering/tasting. Last month was 4 single barrels. This months (3rd month) was all rye whiskey’s. Definitely not my favorite. Did enjoy this Wild Turkey 101 we had tho.

Now I’m chillin’ with a dram of that Elijah Craig Toasted. I can also say that marijuana and Newrockstars goes splendidly with whiskey.

Has anyone else found it impossible to get their hands on a bottle of Buffalo Trace? I think it's been a solid year since I've been able to find a bottle.

 

It's been a limit one bottle per person everywhere I see it. It's honestly become a meme in my local whiskey group

 

Buffalo trace is easy to get in Michigan, it’s everything else they make that’s hard lol

 

I’ve noticed it’s pretty easy to get Buffalo in NM. But you’re right. It’s all their other stuff.

 

Looking to get a Knob Creek 15 year from a local Costco here tomorrow... Fingers crossed.

Still want the 12 year, but can't find it. Somehow they have the special release from last year. Stoked about it.

 

Costco randomly has really good deals. I got the 8 Year Dickel there for like $23. I've only ever seen KC 15 behind the counter and overpriced in every place I've found it unfortunately

 

Love KC12. Prefer it to the 15 honestly. 15 is super oak-y to me, a little too overpowering

 

What would you say a solid price on the 15 year would be? Apparently it's going for 100 at Costco.

 

That’s a good price for it and cheaper than I’ve ever seen it on shelves in Michigan haha

 

Yeah that's a great price. Total Wine doesn't even have it in stock here and it's 110 at the other big chain.

Finally got me a bottle of knob creek 12 year. Stoked to break into it tonight. Passed on the 15 the other day.

edit: after having some, I think I prefer the 9 year. Much smoother, 12 was good and oaky. I could only imagine the 15 year. Still need to try Eagle Rare.

tried some Old Forester 1910 today, that was pretty good

 

I’ve heard nothing but good things. My latest kick has been Jersey Hooch.

 

Got picked for that whiskey drop/Reddit club thing again. Super hyped about my pick.. all very good prices too.
