who told you this room exists? Supporter

I was at a company event a year ago and we were off in our own small groups doing this activity and someone decided to play music on their phone, and they played their first record. They were in their twenties so I was just shocked someone was listening to them in 2024 at all, they must have been in grade school when it came out. I thought it was a bold public music choice. I just remember my CEO coming in the room and asking about the music and trying to be kind but clearly not getting down with Curse of Curves or whatever.

i liked the purevolume demos a lot and the first record is nostalgic but not much more to say after that.

    hey gang,

long time, long time lurker. first time poster. just want to say thank you for taking the time to listen/i apologize lol. i think most of you are dead on in your assessments (minus whoever said amber pacific coulda been bigger than Paramore lolol). Like fred said (ha), this was a band that had all the opportunities in the world and they kind of squandered it and his frustration is understandable and I empathize 100%. the guy is hurt and I appreciated him being real about that. that being said that doesn't excuse anything, and when it comes to shaant... yeah gonna take a helluva lot goodwill to come back from past remarks. I'm rooting for him the same way I'm rooting for anyone but yeah I wouldn't hold my breath.

Apologies to the fans of Rotation, Feldmann, Paramore and AP.net for the slander LOL (I'm like "aw cmon no, not Jason that's our dawg!). I did my best to push back while giving him the space to tell his side of things. The way I look at is I'm just the mf holding the canvas handing you the paintbrushes, the picture you paint is up to you. As we can see from the feedback, probably wasn't the best picture lol.

Again, thanks for listening, hopefully you stick around for another episode although heads up they usually aren't that salacious.

I thought Rotation was kinda fun in an empty way but these guys were such shitheads that it's not surprising they didn't take the next step.

I was never a Cute is What We Aim For fan; With that being said, how and the fuck does this guy think their first record is better than Rotation? While Rotation is very mediocre, Blood Rush is awful and it has aged even worse. This guy is really holding onto the 'What If?" of his past.
