the fact every club and venue isn’t cashing out in emo nite being a thing is true tragedy

 

Couldn’t get BMTH tickets cuz every seat I picked “another fan beat me to it”. Our reservation for AAR at the bbq place got cancelled because people have been “eating” there since the news dropped and refuse to leave.

guess I should just be grateful we worked out tomorrow. Hopefully.

Not sure if you’re saying the original tweet or the quote tweet is not the move but throwing any sort of show is better than nothing at all. I mean it sucks that it’s small capacity and only a couple hundred will get to attend but with this being so last minute it was probably difficult to find a venue that was available tonight to play a show in.

 

Exactly. I can't imagine many bigger venues would be able to pull together the staff needed to plan a show last second like this. At least some bands are doing something, no matter how small it may be.

 

Damn why couldnt a ballroom put a show together

 

Everyone’s made do with what they could get and that’s amazing. They could have done nothing at all and today would have been a bigger bummer.

Earlier, we were in a Lyft en route to the AAR pop up show, and then I got the notification about the Hawthorne Heights one. Armor For Sleep was one of the bands I was most excited to see. Our driver is going to the show tomorrow so she was very sympathetic. And she was like “you guys can’t miss that. So change your destination in Lyft right now and I’ll get you there.” She got us to the Strat so fast. And even went over a median to turn into the parking lot faster haha. We were among the first 20 people there. It was rad.

 

Going next weekend now I guess!? Let’s hang

ever since balance and composure got into it with jack on twitter I am pro bands dunking on and or humiliating people no matter how petty or immature it seems.

Tonight was fun. Went to a Karaoke/DJ set hosted by Mark from Spitalfield. He sang one of his bands songs. Bob Nanna from Braid sang a Jimmy Eat World song.
