Okay so it’s gonna top off around 30-35 mph at the absolute worst (and maybe much less) according to current estimates. That’s gonna be uncomfortable (fucking dirt/sand in your eyes all day) and inconvenient for stagehands if shit gets blown around but that’s not dangerous at all I can’t imagine
Wind is definitely a concern and one that I never would have thought about. Hope it isn't as bad as they say. Could be a real problem.
I'm tired af and read this as Turnstile having been announced for this weekend at the festival and was so pumped for like a moment
I once drove to a show in Philly (5 hour drive) and my AirBNB didn’t answer despite very accessible up until that moment. Just drove home. It sucked but beat getting an overpriced hotel for 8 hours.
I’d rather go across the street and get a bucket of Coronas for $10 or whatever the hell it is. Haha. But honestly, I had no intention of getting drinks at this show anyway so whatever. Hopefully lots of people wait in line for drinks to clear some space at the stages :)
Soda, water, and sports drinks are more than reasonable for a festival. So I’ll just be chugging some Gatorade, I’m sure. Especially since it’ll be almost 90 degrees and windy. Gonna feel like we’re standing in front of a giant blow dryer. Can’t wait…………………
I haven’t bought booze at an event like this in years so I probably have the wrong perception of how much things cost haha. Water is in line with what I pay at a big amphitheater show in St. Louis tho so that’s reasonable for sure. Will be camelbaking it tho
If there's re-entry, you could theoretically run to the Walgreen's that's kitty corner from the festival grounds and get a water, right?
Pro tip: Stand on one side and pivot your body slightly, no movement necessary! That's what I did between Alkaline Trio and MCR at Riot Fest and it was perfect.
